Rain continues across most of the Finger Lakes as low pressure slowly meanders to the northeast.
Dangerous flooding is ongoing across eastern Cayuga County, even though the rain continues to be light in these areas. More heavy rain is likely before the night is spent, which will likely result in additional flooding.
The current flash flood warning in Cayuga and Onondaga counties is due to expire shortly after this is published, but I would imagine something new will be issued or it will be extended.
My focus is increasing across the southern Finger Lakes as an area of heavy rain is slowly moving to the east-northeast. Steady moderate to heavy rain is falling behind the initial band of heaviest rain.
I would not be surprised to see flash flood warnings across areas such as Schuyler, Tompkins, Chemung, and Tioga county… especially since Tioga County already had a flash flood warning earlier today.
I am planning at least one more update tonight, but more may be needed depending on how the next 1-2 hours evolve.

Thanks Drew. We have a lot of flooding of roads and so on in Southern Cayuga county. Sempronius, Niles and King Ferry area the worst. Roads closed due to the rain

Thanks for that report. Hadn’t seen anything that far west yet, so that is great information to know.
