Almost all of the Finger Lakes is in a Level 1 – Slight risk for severe thunderstorms this afternoon. This outlook was issued overnight by the Storm Prediction Center. The next update to this outlook is due at 9 AM.
As mentioned in this morning’s blog post, showers and storms early this morning over Canada and Lake Ontario are expected to stay over the lake until they move east into the Tug Hill and Adirondacks. A little rain right along the shore cannot be ruled out.
Sunshine will be plentiful across the Finger Lakes this morning, though an increase in clouds along the shore of Lake Ontario will be possible.
