The southeastern Finger Lakes continues to be threatened by a line of severe thunderstorms with a chance for embedded brief tornado spin-ups.
Many reports of wind damage are starting to filter in, indicated by the blue circles with the broken tree icon.
I went on a brief chase southeast of Groton to spot. I did not see any evidence of a tornado there, but there were multiple areas of tree damage from straight-line winds.
While the overall severe threat is diminished, additional showers and a few thunderstorms will continue to be possible. Locally strong winds are not out of the question, in addition to gusty non-thunderstorm winds from the west.
