Major Cool Down

A cold front will bring a major cool down to the Finger Lakes region this weekend. Temperatures, will go from 10-15 degrees above normal the past few days, to about 10 degrees below normal this weekend.

This front will knock temperatures down this afternoon. While the southern Finger Lakes has warmed into the 70s, by late this afternoon, temperatures will quickly tumble back into the 60s.

There will be very limited shower activity with the front. A few spotty showers will remain possible through the afternoon and early evening hours before skies clear tonight.

There is a risk for some areas of patchy frost in the typically coldest locations, especially across the Southern Tier. Sunday and Monday morning both could see some of this patchy frost.
