Tuesday will be another warm day, though cooling influences from Lake Ontario will gradually work southward later in the afternoon and especially after sunset. Clouds will increase through the day, with a few stray showers in the afternoon and a better chance for hit-or-miss rain showers during the evening.

Temperatures mainly in the mid and upper 40s with some low 50s across the northwester quadrant of the reigon.

Temperatures quickly rising to the mid and upper 50s.
Midday (11 AM-1 PM)
Sun and clouds.
Maybe a brief shower.
Southwest winds around 10 mph.
Temperatures continue to rise quickly into the low and mid 60s, but cooler along Lake Ontario.
Afternoon (1-5 PM)
Increasing clouds, but still some sun.
Maybe a brief shower.
Southwest winds 10-15 mph.
Temperatures ranging through the 60s, with a few valleys of the Southern Tier hitting 70 degrees while the shoreline of Lake Ontario sticks in the 50s.
Late Afternoon (5-7 PM)
More clouds than not.
A few scattered showers.
Southwest winds 5-10 mph.
A large range of temperatures, from low and 60s in the Southern Tier, mid and upper 50s across the Finger Lakes themselves, and low 50s and even 40s north of the Thruway.
Evening (7-10 PM)
Mostly cloudy.
Scattered showers.
Light and variable winds.
Temperatures continue to drop quickest across the north, with upper 50s in the Southern Tier all the way down to near 40 degrees along the immediate shore of Lake Ontario.
Overnight (11 PM-3 AM)
Cloudy.
Scattered showers.
Light and variable winds.
Temperatures ranging from the mid 50s in the Southern Tier down to the upper 30s along the shore of Lake Ontario.
