The first half of the week will have varying amounts of sun and clouds, but very warm temperatures around or above 70 degrees. Cold fronts on Thursday and Saturday will bring some mainly light rain to the area with each front knocking temperatures back about 10 degrees. This will mark the start of a more typical pattern of unsettled weather alternating with dry days and some sun as quick moving, small weather systems pass through.

Monday
What: Varying clouds
Clouds will come and go today, mixing with and filtering the sunshine to varying degrees. The best chance for mostly sunny skies will come later this morning into the mid-afternoon. Light south winds will team up with the sunshine to push temperatures into the upper 60s and low 70s. Clouds will increase again late in the day with a mostly cloudy overnight. A stray shower toward dawn cannot be ruled out. Overnight lows will vary quite a bit, with mid 50s to the northwest down to mid 40s to the southeast.
Tuesday
What: Clouds, some sun
There should be an uptick in cloud cover on Tuesday, but there may still be some glimpses of sunshine mixing in here and there. A stray shower during the morning cannot be ruled out, especially across the northern half of the region. Ultimately, the rain chances are low enough that I opted not to use the “scattered showers” icon in the 7-day graphic.
Southerly winds will persist with slightly higher speeds than today, but staying under 10 mph. The south winds will continue to support warm temperatures, even with the increase in clouds. Temperatures should be similar to Monday with upper 60s and low 70s commonplace. Skies should clear Tuesday night, but steady south winds will keep temperatures in the 50s.
Wednesday
What: Sun and clouds
Of the next three days, Wednesday will probably end up the sunniest overall. There will still be clouds, but many of them will be thin and insignificant. The later in the day it gets, the greater the chance for a slight increase in clouds. South winds will persist with speeds around 10 mph, bringing afternoon highs up a couple degrees. Clouds will increase overnight, keeping temperatures around 60 degrees.
Thursday
What:Â Rain showers
A cold front will bring some rain to the area on Thursday. There may be showers on and off for much of the day, but a steady, soaking rain is unlikely. Rain amounts will generally be under a half-inch, but there could be a rumble of thunder or two and a brief downpour which could bring some localized amounts higher. It will remain warm with highs in the upper 60s. Thursday night should see lows in the low 50s.
Friday
What: Sun and clouds
Thursday’s cold front will only have a slight impact as light south winds quickly become reestablished by Friday morning. There should be a fair amount of sunshine on Friday mixing with occasional clouds. Highs will still be well above the seasonal averages in the low 60s. Nighttime temperatures should dip into the 40s.
Saturday
What: Scattered showers
Another cold front looks possible on Saturday with scattered showers. The rain looks more sporadic and lighter than on Thursday. Temperatures will come down another notch with highs in the 50s and overnight lows around 40 degrees.
Sunday
What: Sun and clouds
Sunday looks dry with a mix of sun and clouds, though confidence is low as the overall weather pattern remains active. Temperatures will top out in the low and mid 50s.
Next Week
Unsettled weather looks possible next week, with most models especially focusing on the Tuesday-Wednesday time frame. Again, though, rain amounts look modest with quick-moving, showery systems favored over large scale, soaking rain. Temperatures most of next week will hover somewhere around 50 degrees.
