The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for most of the region for this afternoon and evening.
Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected to develop by the early afternoon, continuing into the evening hours. Some areas may see repeated storms with heavy downpours, leading to a chance for localized rain amounts over 3 inches.
Flooding is not expected to be a widespread issue, but could become hazardous in small pockets of the region.
A few thunderstorms may also become severe for brief periods with strong winds.
This will be the only update I am able to post today.
Remain weather aware today and have multiple ways to get weather warnings. A NOAA Weather Radio remains the most reliable, instantaneous way to get warnings.
