Tuesday March 21 Evening Weather Forecast Update- Audio Transcript

This is Finger Lakes Weather meteorologist Drew Montreuil with your evening weather forecast update for Tuesday, March 21, 2017.

Well, what turned out to be a beautiful afternoon today will be nothing but a memory by tomorrow morning. An arctic cold front will move through the Finger Lakes around midnight tonight, bringing a return to cold, wind, and a little bit of lake effect snow.

Before that front arrives, this evening will be quiet as temperatures slip back through the 40s and into the 30s. The front arrives around midnight with snow showers and maybe a squall. Lake effect will briefly develop overnight, but will be dissipating by dawn.

Still, some squalls will be possible downwind of the Finger Lakes through the morning commute. The rest of Wednesday will turn sunny, but windy and cold with highs near 20 and wind chills in the single digits.

Have a nice evening and stay warm tomorrow!
