A few more showers are possible on Friday, but the weekend looks dry with increasing sun by Sunday.

Showers Friday

Low pressure is passing by the area to the north this morning, dragging a cold front through the Finger Lakes as it moves east.

While the chances for rain are not anything like yesterday or Wednesday, there will still likely be a few showers from time to time today. In particular, showers will be possible this morning with a few more isolated showers this evening.

Total rain amounts today should be less than a tenth of an inch.

Temperatures are mild to start the day, with most areas well into the 50s. Temperatures will probably drop a couple degrees this morning as the front moves through but should sneak back above 60 degrees this afternoon.

Clouds will remain thick overnight with temperatures backing into the 40s.

Quiet Weekend Weather

Saturday will most likely remain cloudy and cool. A northwest wind will keep temperatures from rising much after morning lows around 40 degrees.

Afternoon highs Saturday will be about 10 degrees below normal with most areas topping out around 50 degrees.

Skies will clear Saturday night and the temperature will fall back into the low 30s by Sunday morning as a result.

Sunny skies will help the temperature rise quickly Sunday morning, and by the afternoon, temperatures should be in the low 60s.

Winds will generally be light this weekend, especially on Sunday.

Weather Next Week

The first part of next week will be quiet with temperatures near normal.

By the middle of the week, a storm system will pass through. Thankfully, there does not look to be a large amount of rain with this system.

Later in the week, a warm-up is expected for the eastern part of the United States. Temperatures should be well above normal for the end of next week and next weekend. Just how warm remains to be seen.
