Saturday morning storms clear out for nice afternoon, Sunday

finger lakes weather forecast weekend weather saturday rain thunderstorms
Rain and thunderstorms Saturday morning should clear the region by the afternoon, leaving the remainder of the weekend very nice.

Saturday’s Weather Improves

A cold front will move through the Finger Lakes Saturday morning. Showers and thunderstorms are ongoing and will continue along and ahead of this front.

However, this does not mean Saturday is a wasted day by any means.

The showers and storms along the cold front are expected to be east of the region by the midday or early afternoon hours at the latest.

Some frequent lightning, heavy rain, and possibly a little small hail will be possible with these showers and storms.

Once the cold front clears the region, skies will turn sunny for the afternoon and temperatures will top out in the mid 70s.

There will be a bit of a breeze behind the cold front, with some gusts approaching 30 mph.

The wind should die down this evening as skies become mostly clear for the full moon. Temperatures will back into the 50s overnight, making it very comfortable sleeping weather.

Spectacular Sunday and Monday

The weather on Sunday looks just about perfect.

Humidity levels will be low, but the temperature will be mild with highs reaching the upper 70s.

Winds will generally be light with just a nice, gentle breeze.

Skies will start the day sunny, then become mixed with some fair weather clouds, which will then dissipate by the evening.

No precipitation is expected on Sunday at any time.

Monday will be very similar to Sunday, only warmer and a bit more humid. Look for highs Monday to reach into the 80s.

Rain will return to the Finger Lakes on Tuesday as the next weather systems swings into the region.

Looks like extreme northern FL only. Could have used some rain. Enjoy your weekend.

There is more over western NY that should move across our more southern areas later this morning. May not be as heavy, though. Have a nice weekend!
