Quick Update: Heavy Rainfall Risk Sunday Afternoon

The Weather Prediction Center (WPC), a branch of the National Weather Service, has much of the Finger Lakes region in a Level 2 – SLIGHT risk (yellow shading) for excessive rainfall on Sunday afternoon.

Rain will begin Sunday morning and intensify during the afternoon hours. The areas in the slight risk should see widespread rainfall amounts over an inch with isolated amounts over three inches.

The main threat will be basement flooding, minor poor drainage flooding, and rises on small streams.
