I am testing out another new feature for FLX Weather—a Weather Planner update posted the night before and focusing solely on the next day. This update is designed to especially give early risers a quick look at the day ahead so they can plan around the weather, but can be used the night before and throughout the day.
While I am posting around 8 PM this time, usually it will be posted between 9 PM and Midnight. Typically, these will be posted Sunday night-Thursday night to cover the weekday mornings, but extending the service into the weekend may also be possible.
If you are looking for information beyond Tuesday, you can check out the post from Monday morning, or wait for Tuesday morning’s normal blog post.
I still have some details to work out—graphics, formatting, etc. As always, your ideas and feedback are welcome!

A low pressure system will move into the northern Great Lakes region today and turn east across southeastern Canada tonight, bringing clouds and some increasing winds today, but only a few stray showers this evening. Temperatures will be warmer than yesterday.

No precipitation.

Temperatures falling to the upper 20s and low 30s.

Any remaining clearing replaced quickly by clouds.

Temperatures steady in the upper 30s and low 40s.
Late Afternoon (4-6 PM)
Overcast skies
No precipitation.
Winds S 10-15 mph, gusts 20-30 mph.
Temperatures steady in the upper 30s and low 40s.
Evening (6-10 PM)
Cloudy with a few breaks of clearing.
Maybe a brief rain shower early.
Winds S/SSW 15-20 mph, gusts 25-35 mph.
Temperatures steady in the upper 30s and low 40s.
Overnight (11 PM-3 AM)
Generally overcast.
No precipitation.
Winds SW 5-10 mph.
Temperatures slipping to the upper 30s to near 40 degrees.

An excellent idea, well on the way to being a very useful feature. For viewing on the mini iPad I’m using now, it would help to have less vertical spacing between the lines, so more text shows on the screen before I have to scroll down.
