Ted Marks
Good Day Drew, I guess I need to be honest. I personally don’t like this format. Too much spread out info. besides mostly the same info.
Know just my opinion and no problem. Just wanted to say. Ted
Meteorologist Drew Montreuil
Hi Ted. Thanks for the feedback. I think, however, you are using this type of post incorrectly. It is not necessarily meant to be read start to finish every single day.
It is a planner, meant to help people plan their day. If you have plans that depend on the weather, you can easily navigate to that time period and see what you need in a quick glance. There is a brief summary at the top for the people that only skim the beginning anyway. It is an easy and quick way for me to provide weather information to people trying to plan their day… something I am not able to do with morning posts at 8 or 9 AM, when many people are already out and about.
I supplement these with morning extended outlooks when I am able, which is becoming more and more difficult, that are easier to read and much better organized than the old long narratives that had very little differentiation from day to day.
Yes, it is different. But the changes are both overwhelmingly popular, and necessary for me to be able to continue to provide regular, useful weather information. The old model no longer works for me professionally or personally. I am not saying that it is necessarily better or worse than the old way or that there are not trade offs… it just is what it has to be. Hope that makes sense!
