After cooler air and a few stray showers Wednesday, temperatures will become more mild by the weekend with dry conditions. A few more spits of rain may be possible by Sunday and Monday with a better chance for rain during the middle and latter parts of next week. Meanwhile, in Canada, fire activity has been greatly reduced by the cooler air and precipitation, so our air quality should remain in good condition for the time being.

Wednesday
What: A few showers
Wednesday will have a few scattered showers as low pressure system pulls away from the region. The morning is more likely to be overcast than the afternoon, when some sun should gradually work its way out. Rain amounts will be minimal and most areas will see very little to no rain. Winds will be from the northwest at 10-15 mph.
Temperatures Wednesday will be around 70 degrees. Nighttime temperatures will drop into the 50s with a few pockets of upper 40s as skies clear overnight.
Thursday
What: Sunny, a few clouds
Sunshine will be plentiful on Thursday. A few thin clouds and a couple small fair weather clouds in the afternoon will be it as far as cloud cover. Highs will be in the mid 70s with very low dewpoints in the lower half of the 50s or even upper 40s. The night sky should remain clear with overnight lows ranging through the 50s. Winds will be light from the northwest during the day, then calm during the night.
Friday
What: Sun and clouds
Friday will bring more of the same with sunny skies, a few mainly thin clouds, and low humidity. Temperatures will rise to around 80 degrees as winds turn lightly from the south. South winds will become a bit better established Friday night, holding lows around 60 degrees.
Saturday
What: Sun and clouds
Dry weather is expected to persist into Saturday with a mix of sun and clouds. Temperatures will add several more degrees for highs in the low and mid 80s. Dewpoints will remain comfortable, but will rise slightly to the upper half of the 50s. Winds will be from the south around 5 mph.
Sunday
What: Maybe a late shower
For the most part, Sunday will also be dry and sunny. There may be a few stray showers late in the day, but it looks like most areas will not see any rain at all. Temperatures will retreat a degree or two with most areas in the low 80s. Dewpoints will increase into the 60s, making it start to feel a bit muggy. Winds will be light and variable.
Monday
What: A few showers, storms
Monday will have a few more showers and possibly storms than Sunday, but many areas will still end up dry. Temperatures will be in the upper 70s with dewpoints well into the 60s.
Tuesday
What: Scattered thunderstorms
Tuesday will have the highest chance for rain over the next week with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Of course, a week out, the details remain highly unclear and uncertain. Temperatures will likely stick to the upper 70s with dewpoints in the 60s.
Late Next Week
Unsettled weather may persist into the latter half of next week with showers and thunderstorms possible. Temperatures will remain in the 70s thanks to the cloud cover and precipitation.
