Thursday may start off with a few stray showers, but the much higher chance for rain will come after 3 PM, when scattered showers and thunderstorms pop up across the region. Any storms will be capable of heavy downpours and some gusty winds, but severe weather and flooding are generally not expected outside of possibly some minor, isolated instances. It will be very humid with dewpoints into the low 70s. Afternoon highs will reach the low and mid 80s, but some heat index values may break 90 degrees. Winds, outside of any thunderstorms, will be light from the southwest. A warm and muggy night is expected with lows around 70.

Showers and storms linger over the southeastern Finger Lakes.

Temperatures drop to around 80 degrees, but locally cooler in the wake of thunderstorms.
