Sunshine will remain plentiful today and Friday before clouds start to increase noticeably on Saturday. A strong coastal low will send some rain showers our way later Sunday into Monday, but heavy rain is not expected. Winds will become breezy this weekend, especially Sunday into Monday, coming from the north. Temperatures should increase through the middle of next week, with unsettled weather late next week.

Thursday
What: Sunny
Thursday will be another day of clear, sun-filled skies. Winds will be from the northeast at 5-10 mph. Daytime highs will be in the same range as recent days, with most areas in the mid and locally upper 60s. Nighttime lows will range across the 40s.
Friday
What:Â Sun, late clouds
Friday looks mostly sunny for most of the day. A few thin clouds may start to sneak in late, but this is more likely to happen after sunset or even after midnight. . Afternoon highs will mainly be in the upper 60s. A few urban areas could make it to 70 degrees. Overnight lows will be warmer, with most areas in the low 50s. Winds will be from the north at 5-10 mph most of the day, but may go over 10 mph for the late afternoon.
Saturday
What: Gradually increasing clouds
Saturday should start with quite a bit of sunshine, though some thin clouds will likely be mixing in. This may persist for much of the day, but clouds should eventually increase and thicken. North winds will blow at around or slightly over 10 mph. Like Friday, this will not impact the temperature, with highs mainly in the upper 60s. Saturday night will be mostly cloudy with lows in the mid 50s.
Sunday
What: Afternoon showers
On Sunday, low pressure off the Mid-Atlantic coast will begin to track back toward the west, approaching the coast of New Jersey. As this happens, a band of rain will move into the Finger Lakes from the east. Dry air over the region will at least weaken the band, but may prove to be a tougher obstacle to overcome. The further east, the higher the chances for steadier rainfall or frequent showers. How far west the rain makes it and how much falls over the region remains uncertain.
Temperatures Sunday should be in the low to mid 60s. North winds will increase to around 15 mph with gusts of 25-30 mph. Nighttime temperatures will be in the low 50s with showers continuing.
Monday
What: Perhaps a few showers
The coastal low will be pulling away from the region on Monday. A few showers will still likely linger, but should be light and sporadic. There may be some sunshine later in the day. North winds will remain, but may turn toward the northwest late in the day. Wind speeds will be around 10 mph. Temperatures will remain steady, with highs in the 60s and nighttime temperatures in the 50s.
Tuesday
What: Sun and clouds
Cloud cover on Tuesday is uncertain and dependent on the speed at which the low departs, and whether any small pieces of disturbed atmosphere are left behind in its wake. Rain is not currently expected, and at least some sunshine looks probable. Temperatures will rebound, returning to the upper 60s with light northwest winds.
Wednesday
What: Sun and clouds
Mixed skies are the best bet for next Wednesday at this point, but uncertainty remains high. A few showers are on the edge of possibility, too. Temperatures should continue to slowly warm with highs in the low 70s.
Late Next Week
Rain chances appear to increase late next week and next weekend. Temperatures will depend on how any rain evolves, but should be in the 70s on a sunnier day and in the upper half of the 60s if it is rainy. Cool air looks possible early in the following week.
