A cold front will move through the area Friday morning with a band of widespread rain. The rain may dissipate some as it heads into the southeastern Finger Lakes, but everyone should still see at least some rain during the morning or midday hours. The afternoon will remain cloudy, but rain will be limited to stray showers. Winds will turn to the northwest with the frontal passage, bringing in cool air. Temperatures will drop a few degrees from the early morning, with most areas in the low 60s for the afternoon. Skies will clear during the night, allowing temperatures to fall well into the 40s.

Cloudy.

Southwest winds near 10 mph.

Temperatures in the mid 60s.

Morning (7-11 AM)

Cloudy.

Rain spreading southeast across the FLX.

Northwest winds 5-10 mph.

Temperatures in the low and mid 60s.

Midday (11 AM-1 PM)

Cloudy.

Rain tapering to scattered showers.

Northwest winds 5-10 mph.

Temperatures in the low and mid 60s.

Afternoon (1-5 PM)

Cloudy.

A couple lingering showers, mainly over the southeastern FLX.

Northwest winds 5-10 mph.

Temperatures in the low and mid 60s.

Late Afternoon (5-7 PM)

Mostly cloudy.

Very small chance for a shower.

Northwest winds 5-10 mph.

Temperatures in the upper 50s.

Evening (7-11 PM)

Gradual clearing.

No precipitation is expected.

Northwest winds 5-10 mph.

Temperatures drop to the low and mid 50s.

Overnight (11 PM-3 AM)

Mostly clear.

No precipitation is expected.

Northwest winds around 5 mph.

Temperatures in the mid and upper 40s.
