Southerly flow the next two days will cause temperatures to climb, with mid and upper 60s common today and low 70s expected on Thursday. Friday and Saturday will be cooler behind a cold front which will bring just a few showers Thursday night and early Friday. Temperatures will start to inch up again on Sunday and early next week with more dry weather expected. Rain looks more likely late next week, though.

Wednesday
What: Sun filtered by clouds
Temperatures began to rise slightly in the pre-dawn hours thanks to a developing southerly flow. These winds will increase to 5-10 mph today, helping push high temperatures well into the 60s. Western areas will generally be warmer than eastern ones, but many should find themselves near or above 65 degrees this afternoon. Clouds will mix with, or even at times filter the sunshine for much of the day. Late in the afternoon, skies should become mostly sunny. A few clouds will linger into the evening before skies become clear overnight. Winds will remain steady through the night, holding temperatures to the mid and upper 40s across the south with low 50s to the north.
Thursday
What:Â Sunny, some late clouds
Thursday will see ample sunshine through the morning and into most of the afternoon. Some late clouds will eventually build in from the north, but some areas may not see any until around or after sunset. Winds will shift slightly to the southwest and blow at up to 10 mph, pushing temperatures to the low 70s. Some higher elevations may stick to the upper 60s.
The nighttime hours are expected to be cloudy with scattered showers after midnight. While some rain is likely, amounts will be minimal and half of more of the area will end up seeing no rain. Overnight lows will likely stay in the low and mid 50s before dropping a little further right before sunrise.
Friday
What:Â Sun and clouds. Maybe an early shower.
A stray shower lingering from Thursday night cannot be totally ruled out early Friday morning as the cold front continues to slowly make its way through. Before long, sunshine will take over and last the remainder of the day, mixing with a few clouds. Winds will turn to the northwest and increase with speeds as high as 15 mph. The northwest winds will hold temperatures in the mid and locally upper 50s. Temperatures will then drop into the 30s Friday night.
Saturday- Halloween
What: Sun and a few clouds
High pressure will be moving into the area on Saturday, keeping Halloween sunny and dry. Some thin clouds will mix with the sunshine, but will do little to reduce it. Winds will remain from the northwest, but lighter with speeds around 5 mph. That will hold temperatures in the 50s for the afternoon again. Winds will turn calm by sunset as the high pressure center moves overhead. Temperatures will drop into the mid and upper 40s for the prime trick-or-treating window, then to around 40 degrees overnight.
Sunday
What: Sunny
Sunday should be filled with sunshine with just a couple stray thin clouds, mostly late in the day. With high pressure to the east, winds will come lightly from the south. That should be enough to boost temperatures up to the low 60s and hold nighttime temperatures to the mid 40s.
Monday
What: Sun and clouds
Dry weather is expected on Monday, but some clouds will mix with the sunshine as a weather system begins to approach from the west. Winds will be light and variable with highs in the low and mid 60s. Nighttime temperatures will remain in the mid 40s.
Tuesday
What: Clouds and sun
There should be an uptick in cloud cover on Tuesday, but dry weather is expected to remain in place. Southerly winds may pick up, so whatever temperature loss would come from the increase in clouds will be counterbalanced by the wind. Highs should at least reach the low 60s, but with a small increase in sunshine, could be warmer. Some rain showers late in the day or Tuesday night cannot be ruled out, but look unlikely.
Later Next Week
Mid-week rain chances are diminishing on the models, but it is still too early to count rain out. Rain looks more likely late in the week, though, some of which could be meaningful. Temperatures will likely run warm through the end of the week, though there is a larger than usual degree of uncertainty. Cooler, unsettled weather looks possible beyond next weekend.
