A tornado watch has been issued for roughly the eastern half of the Finger Lakes region and for points eastward. The watch goes through 3 PM, but the main risk for the Finger Lakes will be over the next 2 hours (through about noon).
There is a 40% chance for multiple tornadoes over the entire watch area and a 70% chance for 10+ severe wind events.
Please take any warnings seriously as this line of storms moves through. Damaging wind gusts can cause damage in equal intensity to a tornado and are much more likely to occur.
Also note that there is not much lightning with this line, but that does not mean it will not be severe.
All warnings will post to FLX Weather automatically. See the latest information here: https://flxweather.com/weather-updates/
I will continue to monitor the situation closely.
