The tornado watch has been canceled for the Finger Lakes region with the line of storms now far to our east.
There were many reports of wind damage throughout the area. The Dundee and Cortland areas seem to have been hit particularly hard. I will relay any additional information from the National Weather Service when/if it becomes available.
Scattered showers and maybe some thundery downpours are ongoing, mainly across the Southern Tier and out over Lake Ontario. These will continue on and off through the remainder of the afternoon with no real severe threat.
Non-thunderstorm winds will remain blustery, but will gradually weaken late this afternoon, and then more substantially after sunset.
