From Friday, July 18th through Tuesday, July 29th, I have several obligations to attend to that will disrupt my normal service schedule.
Here is a summary of what to expect from me during this time:
X Daily Blog Posts & Emails – I will not be authoring my usual daily blog posts, which focus on the day-to-day weather conditions and the mechanisms behind the weather. By extension, the daily email that goes out with my blog posts will not be sent.
X Live Weather Blogs –Â Should a major severe weather event unfold, which looks unlikely, I will not be able to give it my usual live coverage.
X Personalized Questions –Â My response time for personalized forecast questions will be much longer than normal. With enough head’s up, I may still be able to help you out individually… but do not expect an immediate response.
✔ Zip Code Forecasts – The 24-hour zip code forecasts for the 17-county area I cover should remain updated consistently with few, if any, gaps. You can learn more about the zip-code forecasts at https://flxweather.com/zip-code-forecasts/
✔ Automated Warning Posts – The automated system I designed to post weather warnings as Updates should continue to operate. While this system is still in its infancy and future improvements are planned, it is a great way to get a quick, immediate look at areas currently experiencing severe weather. These can be found in the same location you found this post, which is also an Update.
✔ Hazardous Weather Posts – I will still be monitoring the weather daily and will make blog posts as needed to focus on potential weather hazards.
I plan to return to my normal operations by Wednesday, July 30th.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support and use of Finger Lakes Weather!
