Tornado Watch for eastern FLX, CNY

A Tornado Watch- meaning conditions are favorable for the development of tornadoes- has been issued for the far eastern FLX and most of CNY.

3:20pm Update- A few counties have been trimmed from the watch- Onondaga, Madison and Oneida counties are no longer included in the tornado watch. Chemung, Broome, Tompkins and Cortland counties remain in the tornado watch, however.

Original Post-
A TORNADO WATCH has been issued for parts of the Finger Lakes until 8pm. The watch extends from Chemung, Tompkins, Cortland and Onondaga counties to points east. A WATCH means conditions are favorable for isolated tornadoes to be embedded within the line of severe storms I have been tracking all morning and early afternoon.

The main threat for the Finger Lakes will be over the next couple of hours as the line moves through. Continue to monitor conditions and heed warnings that are issued.

Thunderstorms near Ithaca aligning parallel to storm motion- could lead to a flooding risk.
