Clouds, a little sun and some rain to end the week in the FLX

2015-10-07
Clouds will persist through much of Wednesday across the Finger Lakes, possibly producing a shower or two later this afternoon. A more widespread rain is expected Thursday Night.

Weather typical for early October will continue across the Finger Lakes over the remainder of the week and into the weekend.

A progressive weather pattern, typical of autumn, will keep the weather fairly close to seasonal norms over the upcoming days. Wednesday will again be cloudy, but temperatures should reach above 60 degrees, which is just about on par with the normal temperature. A few light showers may develop later this afternoon, but most areas will probably not see any rain.

Thursday will be a bit sunnier across the Finger Lakes, but some areas of clouds will likely drift through as well. Temperatures will be a bit cooler on Thursday as high pressure quickly moves through. Expect highs near 60 degrees on Thursday, with clouds increasing later in the day.

Rain should develop across the Finger Lakes after midnight Thursday night as low pressure moves directly overhead. Some of the rain will likely persist into Friday morning, but the storm system should clear out by Friday afternoon.

The weekend is looking dry, with cool temperatures on Saturday but warmer temperatures on Sunday. A persistent southerly wind may even boost us back into the 70s for Monday before cooler weather settles in.
