Soaking Rain Possible in Finger Lakes

Saturday has so far gotten off to a sunny, mild and breezy start. However, rain will become likely multiple times through the course of the afternoon and evening.

Rain across Western New York late this morning will push east into the Finger Lakes, likely dissipating some early this afternoon. The activity could flare up again a bit further east in the Finger Lakes towards the mid and late afternoon hours.

However, the main batch of rain will move from western New York through the Finger Lakes late this afternoon and evening. Widespread amounts of around an inch are possible, but some areas could see as much as two inches. In addition to torrential downpours, frequent lightning and some stronger wind gusts will be possible.

Be sure to keep an eye on the Radar if you are out and about today.

Showers will remain in the forecast through Monday morning. However, Sunday should be far from a washout. Occasional and scattered showers will be possible, but there should be plenty of dry periods and some glimpses of sun.
