finger lakes weather forecast sunny warm
Wednesday will be another sun filled day across the Finger Lakes with many places reaching at least 80 degrees.

Another Nice Day

The Finger Lakes will enjoy another picture perfect day on Wednesday as high pressure remains in control of the region’s weather.

Start to finish, Wednesday should be sunny and dry with warm, but not too hot temperatures.

Look for afternoon highs near or slightly above 80 degrees today. The humidity will creep upwards a bit, but should not be too uncomfortable for most people.

Temperatures this evening will slowly drop through the 70s to an overnight low in the mid 60s by Thursday morning.

While the upcoming weather does not look too bad, today will be the last day in this stretch of much needed quiet, sunny weather for the Finger Lakes.

Rain Chances Increase Thursday into Friday

Our weather will start to get unsettled again Thursday and especially Friday as a storm system swings through the region.

A few showers will likely start to show up scattered about the Finger Lakes Thursday morning. This rain is not expected to be heavy or widespread.

The chance for a few scattered showers will persist through the afternoon and into the evening hours.

Like the morning, most of Thursday will only have a few showers ongoing and plenty of the day will turn out dry.

The sun may be limited, but highs will still reach 80 degrees or higher for most of the region.

There will be a better chance for rain and thunderstorms on Friday as a cold front approaches.

At this time, Friday does not look like an organized, widespread severe weather day, but one or two scattered storms may become a bit strong.

Weekend Weather Preview

Generally speaking, the weekend is not looking too bad at this point.

There may be a small chance for a shower or thunderstorm on Saturday and again late in the day on Sunday. However, most of the weekend looks dry.

Temperatures will retreat behind Friday’s cold front. Look for highs Saturday in the low 70s with mid 70s on Sunday.

Morning low temperatures will be close to normal within a few degrees on either side of 60 degrees,
