Weather Forecast Updates

Here is a quick rundown of the weather updates for the weekend:

Saturday will be a rather cloudy day, though a few glimpses of sun may come out later in the afternoon.

Until then, areas of fog and drizzle will continue to be possible, especially over higher elevations.

High temperatures will be cool, topping out in the upper 50s.

The chances for rain on Sunday have decreased, but not vanished entirely. A little rain is still likely overnight and into Sunday morning across the Southern Tier and southeastern Finger Lakes. A few afternoon showers will be possible in these areas as well.

Further north and west, the sun should eventually come out in the afternoon. Where the sun is out, temperatures should jump to the mid or even upper 60s. Low 60s or upper 50s are more likely across the Southern Tier.

Monday is still looking like a fine day with a good deal of sunshine and highs near or above 70 degrees.

The one exception may be along and east of I-81 from Cortland southward, where some extra clouds and maybe a stray shower will be possible. Temperatures here, if that comes to pass, would be in the mid 60s.
