Weekend Weather Forecast
Our weather pattern for the next two days will continue to be non-descript, with neither organized high nor low pressure systems in the area.
This will lead to warm and muggy conditions, which in turn will give rise to a few stray showers and storms over the area during the afternoon hours.
Precipitation Friday and Saturday will be rather limited, and many areas will remain dry through both days.
For Friday, the southern half of the region has a slightly higher chance for stray showers. On Saturday, the northern half will be more likely.
Outside of the showers, skies will be a mix of sun and clouds with light southerly breezes.
Temperatures will reach the mid 80s with a few pockets of upper 80s on Friday. Dewpoints will be well into the 60s. Friday night will drop back to the upper 60s.
On Saturday, most places will reach into the upper 80s to near 90 degrees. Dewpoints will push into the low 70s, making it feel a couple of degrees warmer. Temperatures Saturday night will only drop to the low 70s with some upper 60s in cooler pockets.
A cold front will approach the area on Sunday, bringing a higher chance for showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Most areas should see rain at some point on Sunday.
While the severe weather setup as a whole isn’t impressive, there should be enough heat and humidity interacting with the front to bring a chance for some strong winds in a couple of the storms.
Temperatures on Sunday will peak in the mid 80s with dewpoints into the 70s. South-southwest winds will be stronger with speeds near or slightly over 10 mph.

Next Week’s Weather
The frontal boundary will fizzle out over the region Sunday night with light southerly winds remaining in place into early next week.
Scattered showers will linger into Monday, mainly in the morning hours. A few spits of rain will still be possible in the afternoon, but these will gradually dissipate.
Monday will be the coolest upcoming day with highs mainly in the low 80s.
Tuesday looks dry and sunny with some fair weather clouds bubbling up for the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid 80s.
Wednesday, too, looks dry with a mix of sun and clouds. Temperatures will push back toward 90 degrees.
The end of next week looks unsettled as the next weather makers moves into the area. Showers and thunderstorms will be likely sometime Thursday and possibly lingering into Friday.
Heavy rain may accompany these showers and storms. It is too far out to tell what sort of severe threat they may contain.
Temperatures should be knocked back to the 70s behind this system for next weekend. As a whole, the following week looks a touch cooler than this coming week, but still summery and warm.
