A band of lake effect snow off of Lake Erie will wobble around parts of the region while other areas see some cold sunshine.

Early Morning (3-7 AM)

Clouds near the lake effect, some sun elsewhere.

Snow showers mainly in Livingston and Ontario counties with stray flurries elsewhere across the central and northern FLX.

Winds WSW around 10 mph.

Temperatures falling to the upper 0s and mid 10s with some localized colder pockets possible where skies are clear.

Morning (7-11 AM)

Clouds near the lake effect, some sun elsewhere.

Snow showers mainly in Livingston and Ontario counties with stray flurries elsewhere across the central and northern FLX.

Winds WSW increasing to around 15 mph.

Temperatures slowly rising to the low and mid 10s.

Midday (11 AM-1 PM)

Clouds near the lake effect, some sun elsewhere.

Snow showers mainly in Livingston and Ontario counties with stray flurries elsewhere across the central and northern FLX.

Winds WSW around 15 mph.

Temperatures rising into the mid 10s for most areas.

Afternoon (1-4 PM)

Clouds near the lake effect, some sun elsewhere.

Snow showers and some squally weather extending across parts of Livingston, Ontario, Seneca, and Cayuga counties.

Winds SW around 15 mph.

Temperatures steady in the mid 10s.

Late Afternoon (4-6 PM)

Clouds near the lake effect, some sun elsewhere.

Lake snows beginning to lift north to the Thruway corridor.

Winds SW 10-15 mph.

Temperatures starting to slip to the low and mid 10s.

Evening (6-10 PM)

Some areas of clouds, but more areas of clearing.

Snow continues to lift north into the areas north of the Thruway, departing late.

Winds SW to SSW around 10 mph.

Temperatures falling to the upper 0s and low 10s with localized colder pockets possible.

Overnight (11 PM-3 AM)

Some areas of clouds, but more areas of clearing.

Only stray flurries, but most areas stay completely dry.

Winds SSW 5-10 mph.

Temperatures steady in the upper 0s and low 10s with localized colder pockets possible.
