The weather will continue to be sunny with increasing temperatures through Friday. The weekend is looking wet with showers and storms on Saturday and additional rain on Sunday. Another sunny, warm stretch will get started early next week.
Wednesday
What: Sunny.
Wednesday will have abundant sunshine with few clouds. Winds will be from the northwest at under 10 mph. Temperatures will top out between 75-80 degrees. Another clear, calm night is expected with lows in the mid 50s.
Thursday
What: Sun and clouds
Sun will mix with some clouds on Thursday. Many of the clouds will be high, thin clouds that will do little to provide any shade. Winds will be from the west at only around 5 mph. Most areas will get to or slightly above 80 degrees, and some of the typically warmer urbanized areas may reach the mid 80s. Overnight lows will generally be in the upper half of the 50s with thin clouds continuing.
Friday
What: Sun and clouds
Friday will have a mix of sun and clouds, but still no rain. Winds will be from the west and southwest at up to 10 mph with highs in the low and mid 80s. Clouds will increase further during the night with south-southwest winds up to 10 mph, keeping temperatures in the mid 60s.
Saturday
What: Scattered showers, afternoon storms
A few scattered showers will be possible Saturday morning, but many areas are looking dry. West winds will be blustery with a few gusts to 30 mph. Rain chances will increase in the afternoon with numerous showers and some thunderstorms. A small threat for a few strong wind gusts from the storms may develop, but a larger severe weather event looks unlikely at this time. Temperatures will likely top out around 80 degrees. Rain showers will continue into the night, with temperatures in the low 60s.
Sunday
What: Scattered showers
Rain will likely linger into Sunday, and some areas could see rain off and on for most of the day. This seems most likely across the southern and eastern halves of the region, while the northwest may dry out during the afternoon. Temperatures will be a touch cooler with highs returning to the mid 70s with north winds.
Next Week
High pressure is expected to take over the weather once again, at least for the first half of the week. It could be another complete work week without rain, though. Temperatures will be warm, mainly between 75-85 degrees each day.
