Friday

What: Rather cloudy. Maybe an early shower.

An early cold front has moved through the area. As of 7 AM, the radar is clear of any showers, but clouds remain thick over the area. Clouds will persist into the afternoon, but there will be a gradual increase in breaks of sunshine poking through. Winds will be from the northwest with speeds as high as 15 mph and gusts to 30 mph. The northwest winds will hold temperatures in the mid and locally upper 50s. Temperatures will then drop into the mid and upper 30s Friday night.

Saturday- Halloween

What: Sun and thin clouds

High pressure will be moving into the area on Saturday, keeping Halloween sunny and dry. A mix of clouds in the morning will give way to just some thin clouds in the afternoon. Winds will remain from the northwest, but lighter with speeds around 5 mph. That will be enough to hold temperatures in the 50s for the afternoon again. Winds will turn calm by sunset as the high pressure center moves overhead. Temperatures will drop into the mid and upper 40s for the prime trick-or-treating window, then to the mid and upper 30s overnight.

Sunday

What: Sunny

Sunday should be filled with sunshine with just a couple stray thin clouds. With high pressure to the east, winds will come lightly from the south. That should be enough to boost temperatures up to around 60 degrees and hold nighttime temperatures to the mid 40s.

Monday

What: Sun and clouds

Dry weather is expected on Monday, but clouds will mix with the sunshine. Winds will be light and variable with highs in the mid 60s. Nighttime temperatures will be in the upper 40s with a south wind redeveloping.

Tuesday

What: Clouds and sun

There should be an uptick in cloud cover on Tuesday, but dry weather is expected to remain in place. There will still be sun mixing with the clouds as well. Southerly winds will increase to around 10 mph. Highs should at least reach the mid 60s, but could be warmer. Tuesday night will be mild with lows ranging through the 50s and some blustery south winds.

Wednesday

What: Clouds and sun

Clouds will mix with sun on Wednesday as well, though how extensive the cloud cover is remains uncertain. Breezy south winds will continue, holding temperatures in the mid 60s, if not a bit warmer. Nighttime temperatures will remain in the 50s.

Thursday

What: Rain possible

Rain will become possible by Thursday as low pressure moves north into the area. It is far too soon for any details, such as timing or rain amounts. This is a much more potent system than anything we have seen the last two weeks, though, so heavy rain is at least within the realm of possibility. As long as southerly winds persist, temperatures will continue to be well into the 60s.

Next Week Weekend & Beyond

Unsettled weather looks likely through the end of next week and next weekend as low pressure stalls out nearby. The following week looks cooler and unsettled. Temperatures will feel cool to us, but in reality will be running close to average for November in the 40s to near 50 degrees.
