Thunderstorm development will be very limited this afternoon, keeping the severe risk low to minimal.
Friday will be nice across the Finger Lakes, but the chance for severe thunderstorms remains for Saturday.
The good news is that the high heat and humidity is about to end. However, this airmass will not move out without causing a host of other troubles as it departs.
An area of low pressure will track from the Midwest across our region on Thursday, bringing a period of heavy rain to most of the area.
