Heavy rain and thunderstorms continue to push further into the southeastern Finger Lakes. Portions of Tompkins, Tioga, and Cortland counties all currently have severe thunderstorm warnings.
Additional warnings are likely to come further north in Tompkins and Cortland counties.
A flash flood warning has also been issued for most of Tioga County. We could easily see more flash flood warnings further north as well.
Additional thunderstorms ahead of the steadier rain have popped up across Cayuga County. Showers last hour in the western FLX have consolidated into a storm cell just south of Canandaigua Lake.
All of this activity will continue to drift northward, with areas of expansion and intensification.
Remember to never drive through a flooded roadway, and be ready to act if in a flood prone area of the southeastern Finger Lakes.
