Scattered thunderstorms continue to develop across the Finger Lakes region. A severe thunderstorm WATCH is now in effect for the entire area.
There are a couple of storms with warnings as well, including one over southeastern Cayuga County. Several other storms without warnings exist around Keuka, Seneca, and Cayuga lakes which could prompt future warnings.
As a reminder, watches are issued for many hours over large areas to indicate the potential for severe weather. Warnings are issued for small areas and short time spans to address ongoing severe weather from particular storm cells.
