Tornado Update: Schuyler, northwest Tompkins County

10:39AM: I am very concerned that a tornado may be on the ground south of Dundee.

Without getting into the technicalities of dual-polarimetric radar signals, the three frames with the white circles, especially the right two, give a strong indication that a tornado may be on the ground.

Seek shelter IMMEDIATELY along both shores of Seneca Lake north of Watkins Glen!

Trumansburg area… watch closely!

UPDATE: New tornado warning issued, including Trumansburg. TORNADO WARNING LINK

10:58 AM Update: The tornado signatures are weaker, but still present, as the storm moves through northeastern Schuyler county, now on the east side of Seneca Lake. ETA to Trumansburg UNDER 15 mins.

11:09 AM Update: The center of circulation is almost to Cayuga Lake, just south of Trumansburg. The storm is definitely still rotating, but the active-tornado-on-the-ground signatures continue to dissipate. This could easily flare up again at any time. As the storm leaves the eastern edge of the warning, the NWS will have to make a call on whether to issue another downstream tornado warning.
