Light snow is moving into the Finger Lakes this morning and will stick around much of the day. Here are the rest of the details you need for the upcoming weather:

  • The much advertised cold weather is here. High temperatures today will be in the upper 30s, with mid 30s for Friday.
  • The snow today will be light and should not amount to more than a coating for most of the region. The higher elevations in the southern Finger Lakes may see an inch or two though.
  • High pressure builds in from the south tonight and Friday. Lake effect snows will be ongoing outside of the Finger Lakes (Tug Hill, I-90 south of Buffalo to Cleveland).
  • The coldest night so far this year will be tonight with lows in the mid 20s.

More details on the weekend’s weather as well as a look into next week tonight!
