The flood and severe threat have diminished over the Finger Lakes. Showers and a couple storms will remain possible this evening, with some steadier rain possible overnight.
All flood watches have been cancelled for the Finger Lakes and no warnings have been in effect for the last hour. A tornado watch does remain in place for Chemung, Broome, Tompkins and Cortland counties, but it seems reasonable to think this too will be cancelled at any time now. The weather is much quieter across the Finger Lakes now and the atmosphere is not favorable for redevelopment of strong to severe thunderstorms.

Still, some additional showers and maybe a storm will be possible through the evening, with some steadier rain overnight and into early Tuesday morning. A few more strong storms, again including a small tornado risk, may try to fire tomorrow as well. More on that Tuesday morning.
