Weather improves Tuesday between systems

Tuesday will probably be the nicest day for the remainder of the week with a mix of sun and clouds and dry conditions.

Pleasant Weather Tuesday

Tuesday will have the nicest weather start to finish of any other day this week as the Finger Lakes settles between systems for a dry day.

Clouds early this morning should mostly move east before noon, revealing partly cloudy skies for the remainder of the day.

With no weather systems nearby, precipitation is unlikely today.

Temperatures will rise slowly at first this morning, but once the sun comes out, they should go up in a hurry.

Look for afternoon highs to range from the upper 70s to the low 80s.

It will remain muggy out with dewpoints in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees.

Temperatures tonight will slide back into the mid and upper 60s.

Wednesday should get off to a fine start as well, with sunny skies in the morning and quickly warming temperatures.

Rain Chances Increase

By Wednesday afternoon, the chances for rain will start to increase again.

An area of showers and thunderstorms may move through during the late afternoon hours out ahead of the next system. Additional showers and storms would then be possible Wednesday evening into Wednesday night.

A couple of these storms could have a small hail or gusty wind risk, but the overall severe threat is very minimal.

More showers and thunderstorms seem possible on Thursday and into Friday.

The details on the rain for Thursday and Friday are still uncertain, including what time the best chance for rain will be and what severe and/or flooding threats will accompany any thunderstorms. Continue checking back for details over the coming days.

Temperatures through the end of the week will generally remain mild and humidity levels will remain a bit uncomfortable.
