Fine Weather Friday
Cool temperatures and a mix of sun and clouds will make for another fine day in the Finger Lakes.
There will be a small chance for a brief shower throughout the morning and first half of the afternoon as a small disturbance passes by the region.
Mostly though, this disturbance will bring a few extra areas of clouds through this morning.
By the afternoon, fair weather clouds will be commonplace. These should dissipate this evening, leaving clear skies for the overnight period.
Temperatures will be similar to Thursday, but perhaps a degree or two warmer. For most places, this means upper 60s. A few of the warmest areas could hit 70 degrees though.
Temperatures will fall back into the 50s this evening, with morning lows Saturday again ranging through the 40s and 50s.
Even Nicer This Weekend and Beyond
The weather will continue to get even better over the next couple of days as we work off the slight chill and settle into a pattern of nearly perfect temperatures.
Saturday should be partly cloudy after a sun filled morning. Temperatures should reach or just exceed 70 degrees for the majority of the Finger Lakes.
Sunday will tack on a couple of more degrees, with low 70s for most areas. More sun with afternoon fair weather clouds is expected.
The nice weather will continue into the first half of next week as well. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday all look sunny and mild. High temperatures should be pushing into the mid or even upper 70s, which is right about average for the final days of August.
Some chances for rain will return to the area towards the latter half of next week, but at this time, nothing overly substantial is expected.

We are heading from MA to a cottage on Cayuga Lake for the next week. Thanks for this weather update!

Looks like we will be well below average for precip this month. Those folks in the south will surely be wishing for less!
