Friday’s weather will continue to be hot and humid, though perhaps slightly less so than Wednesday and Thursday. A shower or storm could pop up at any time, but the afternoon will have the greatest chance. A more organized complex of storms cannot be ruled out, either. Any storm will be capable of frequent lightning, torrential downpours, strong winds, and perhaps some hail. There is no current threat to Tompkins County, but there is a long way to go yet and plenty of activity off to the west that will eventually make its way towards Tompkins.
