Little Change in Weather
The existing high pressure system that has been keeping our weather quiet will be reinforced by a second high pressure that will merge with it over the weekend.
This will result in more of the same for the Finger Lakes region with little to no change in the day-to-day weather for the foreseeable future.
Once slight difference for the weather Friday will be a little wildfire smoke drifting through the higher levels of the atmosphere. This will produce some haze this morning but should gradually decrease as the day goes on.
This smoke should have little to no effect on the air quality, but may help suppress temperatures a degree or two, and subsequently reduce the number of fair weather clouds this afternoon as well.
Still, highs will be between 80-85 degrees for all but a few select higher elevations. Winds will be light, if not calm. Dewpoints will be comfortable in the 50s.
Saturday will be the same, with less haze from smoke, but still only minimal fair weather clouds.
Sunday and Monday may have a few more fair weather clouds bubble up, but overall, the same conditions.
Skies may go back to mostly sunny on Tuesday before some thin clouds become possible on Wednesday.
Temperatures may take a small step downward at this time, with highs around 80 on Tuesday and in the upper 70s Wednesday and Thursday.
The chances for rain next week are small and restricted to late in the week. This may just be model noise, though, so there is little to no confidence. Rain chances may finally start to come up the following week.
