Temperature Changes
High pressure along the Mid-Atlantic coast will continue to bring sunny, warm weather to the Finger Lakes for two more days.
Today will have very few, if any, clouds and a light south wind. Temperatures will rise into the 75-80 degree range this afternoon.
The best chance for a few thin clouds will be late in the day and overnight. South winds will pick up a little steam with wind speeds as high as 10 mph by dawn.
This will keep the overnight warm as well, with lows mainly in the upper half of the 50s.
Wednesday will start with some sunshine, but clouds will eventually build in later in the day. Wind speeds will be slightly above 10 mph from the southwest with a few gusts over 25 mph possible.
Temperatures will remain warm but will probably not quite match today. Expect more mid 70s and fewer areas reaching the upper 70s.
A stray afternoon shower cannot be ruled out with a better chance for rain as sunset approaches and into the evening. Most of the rain should be light, with less than a quarter inch generally falling.
Winds will turn to the northwest by evening and cooler air will move in. By Thursday morning, temperatures will be down into the mid 40s.
Thursday will have morning clouds and a few stray rain showers. The rain will end before too long and there should be a few breaks of sun before the day is done. Highs Thursday will be in the low 50s.
Another front will move through late Friday into Saturday. The rain with this front looks even less than with the first.
Temperatures will climb to the upper 50s on Friday ahead of the front, followed by mid 50s on Saturday.
High pressure will build in again starting Sunday. Morning lows will range through the 30s with highs near 50 degrees. Skies will be a mix of sun and clouds.
Monday will be clear with low 30s and upper 20s in the morning and highs in the mid 50s.
Temperatures should climb again toward the middle of next week before gradually retreating again by early November next weekend.
