More of the Same
One area of high pressure has moved out of the area but is quickly being replaced by a second.
The only difference in our weather today due to this changing of the guard will be a subtle shift in wind direction and wind speed.
Whereas the wind has been light and variable to calm, today’s winds will be from the north with speeds of 5 to 10 mph.
Otherwise, today will be much the same as it has been. Sunshine will mix with a few clouds, and highs will mainly reach the mid 70s.
Wind speeds will drop under 5 mph tonight and remain that light through Friday.
Skies will clear out again this evening, with overnight lows in the 40s to the south and near or slightly above 50 degrees to the north.
Afternoon highs Friday will once again be in the mid 70s with sunshine and some fair weather clouds.
Saturday morning will be a touch less chilly as a light south wind begins to take hold. Most areas should be near or above 50 degrees.
Winds will remain light and will become variable in direction during the day Saturday. Skies will have a mix of sun and clouds and highs once again in the mid 70s.

Will It Rain?
A weak, slow moving, and relatively small low pressure system will pass through the general region Sunday into Monday.
Weather models have a more difficult time resolving such systems, and that has certainly been the case with this one. The projections continue to bounce all over the place, resulting in a lack of consistency necessary for increasing forecast confidence.
I would still expect at least a few showers on Sunday. How widespread the showers become, and whether they last into Monday, is unclear.
Yesterday, the models were showing a trend toward some meaningful rainfall. But looking at the last several days of model runs as a whole, that may have been the outlier rather than a trend.
We obviously need the rain, but I am becoming more skeptical that we will get it.
Temperatures will start to increase next week, with highs approaching 80 degrees as early as Tuesday. It should not get too hot next week, but most days may end up around the 80 degrees mark.
Outside of the chance for some rain Sunday into Monday, it looks like another dry week.
The models turn more unsettled toward next weekend and into the following week, but that could just be model noise, and there is no guarantee that will hold.
