Breezy northwest winds will keep temperatures cool Monday with some occasional daytime snow showers, but with little accumulation. Limited lake effect will kick in Monday evening with scattered flurries and squalls transitioning to a more widespread spray of snow showers overnight with some minor accumulations.

Early Morning (3-7 AM)

Cloudy. Areas of fog.

Scattered snow showers.

North winds at 5-10 mph.

Temperatures in the mid and upper 20s.

Morning (7-11 AM)

Cloudy. Areas of fog.

Scattered snow showers.

North-northwest winds increasing to around 15 mph.

Temperatures in the mid and upper 20s.

Midday (11 AM-1 PM)

Cloudy.

Scattered snow showers.

North-northwest winds increasing to 15-20 mph. Gusts as high as 35 mph, mainly over Chemung, Schuyler, Tompkins, Tioga, and Cortland counties.

Temperatures rising to the upper 20s to around 30 degrees.

Afternoon (1-4 PM)

Cloudy.

A few scattered snow showers.

North-northwest winds at 15-20 mph. Gusts as high as 35 mph, mainly over Chemung, Schuyler, Tompkins, Tioga, and Cortland counties.

Temperatures steady in the upper 20s to around 30 degrees.

Late Afternoon (4-6 PM)

Cloudy.

A few scattered snow showers.

Northwest winds 10-15 mph.

Temperatures dropping to the mid and upper 20s.

Evening (6-10 PM)

Cloudy.

Some scattered lake effect flurries and perhaps brief squalls. Locally an inch or two of accumulation.

Northwest winds with speeds returning to around 15 mph.

Temperatures mainly in the mid 20s.

Overnight (11 PM-3 AM)

Cloudy.

A spray of light lake effect snow over the northern and eastern halves of the region. A widespread inch or two of accumulation over those areas.

Northwest winds around 15 mph.

Temperatures dropping to the mid and upper 10s.

      I only cover the Finger Lakes. I would recommend the National Weather Service at weather.gov for areas outside of the FLX.
