Low pressure will pass through the region on Wednesday. During the morning, a warm front will bring areas of rain and showers. After a small but not total lull during the midday and early afternoon, additional showers and some thunderstorms will develop along the cold front late in the day. High temperatures will mostly be in the low 60s. Wednesday night will be quieter with just a few stray showers and temperatures settling into the 40s.

Temperatures around or just under 50 degrees.

Mostly cloudy.
Occasional showers.
South and southeast winds increasing to around 15 mph. A few gusts over 30 mph.
Temperatures mainly in the mid 50s, but approaching 60 degrees in the Genesee Valley and Rochester areas.
Midday (11 AM-1 PM)
Clouds and some sun.
A few showers.
South winds around 15 mph. A few gusts over 30 mph.
Temperatures mainly a degree or two on either side of 60, but warmer in the Genesee Valley and cooler in higher elevations.
Afternoon (1-5 PM)
Clouds and some sun.
A few showers and perhaps a thunderstorm.
South winds around 15 mph. A few gusts over 30 mph. Locally higher gusts possible in thunderstorms.
Temperatures mostly in the low 60s.
Late Afternoon (5-7 PM)
Mostly cloudy.
A line of showers and thunderstorms moving from west to east through the region.
South winds around 10 mph. Locally strong gusts possible in thunderstorms.
Temperatures dropping slightly to near or just under 60 degrees.
Evening (7-10 PM)
Mostly cloudy.
Lingering thunderstorms early in the east. Otherwise, just a few stray showers.
West winds around 5 mph.
Temperatures falling to the low 50s.
Overnight (11 PM-3 AM)
Mixed skies.
Mostly dry, but still a stray shower or two.
West winds around 5 mph.
Temperatures in the mid and upper 40s.
