A weak cold front will pass through the area on Wednesday, resulting in light winds from the northwest. Temperatures will only be a couple degrees cooler than Tuesday at most, however. Sun will mix with some clouds, but there is almost no chance for rain. Only a stray pop-up shower in the Southern Tier will be possible, and even that is unlikely. Wednesday night will be clear with lows dropping into the 50s.

Early Morning (3-7 AM)

Overcast with thin clouds.

No precipitation expected.

West winds around 5 mph.

Temperatures mainly in the low 60s with a few warmer pockets in the northwest and some upper 50s in the Southern Tier.

Morning (7-11 AM)

Thin clouds and filtered sunshine.

No precipitation expected.

Northwest winds 5-10 mph.

Temperatures rising to the mid 70s.

Midday (11 AM-1 PM)

A few thin clouds.

No precipitation expected.

Northwest winds 5-10 mph.

Temperatures mainly in the mid 70s with some upper 70s and low 80s in the Southern Tier and low 70s near Lake Ontario.

Afternoon (1-5 PM)

Sun and some mixed clouds.

Very small chance for an isolated shower, mainly early and over the Southern Tier.

Northwest winds around 10 mph.

Temperatures steady in the mid 70s with some upper 70s and low 80s in the Southern Tier and low 70s near Lake Ontario.

Late Afternoon (5-7 PM)

Sun and some mixed clouds.

Very small chance for an isolated shower, mainly over the Southern Tier.

Northwest winds around 10 mph.

Temperatures dip to the low and mid 70s.

Evening (7-11 PM)

Mostly clear.

No precipitation expected.

Northwest winds around 5 mph.

Temperatures drop to the low 60s.

Overnight (11 PM-3 AM)

Mostly clear.

No precipitation expected.
