A stalled out frontal boundary will interact with humid air on Monday to produce numerous showers and isolated downpours on Monday. Some localized flooding concerns may crop up as the downpours will be slow moving or stationary. Generally speaking, areas north of the Thruway will see less rain, a greater chance for some sun, and slightly warmer temperatures. Highs will range through the 70s. Rain showers will push further south, but persist into the nighttime hours.

Early Morning (3-7 AM)

Mostly cloudy.

Showers and some slow-moving downpours.

Southeast winds around 5 mph.

Temperatures mainly in the mid 60s.

Morning (7-11 AM)

Mostly cloudy.

Showers and some slow-moving downpours.

Southeast winds 5-10 mph.

Temperatures mainly in the low 70s.

Midday (11 AM-1 PM)

Mostly cloudy.

Showers and some slow-moving downpours.

Southeast winds 5-10 mph.

Temperatures rise into the low and mid 70s with some upper 70s north of the Thruway.

Afternoon (1-5 PM)

Mostly cloudy.

Showers and some slow-moving downpours.

Southeast winds 5-10 mph.

Temperatures in the low and mid 70s with some upper 70s north of the Thruway.

Late Afternoon (5-7 PM)

Mostly cloudy. A little more in the way of sun to the north.

Showers and some slow-moving downpours, mainly over the southern half of the region.

Southeast winds 5-10 mph.

Temperatures in the low and mid 70s with some upper 70s north of the Thruway.

Evening (7-11 PM)

Mostly cloudy.

Scattered showers across the southern half of the region.

Southeast winds 5-10 mph.

Temperatures gradually fall to the mid and upper 60s.

Overnight (11 PM-3 AM)

Mostly cloudy.

Scattered showers across the southern half of the region.

Temperatures mainly in the mid 60s.

    NWS says the heavy rain will be south and east Ithaca/Lansing.

      There will be more widespread, heavier rain southeast of the Finger Lakes yes, but that doesn’t change anything in my forecast for the Finger Lakes.
