A new Tropical Storm- the fifth of the year- formed over the central Atlantic Ocean overnight. Named Erika, this system will need to be watched closely.
A cold front will sweep through the Finger Lakes on Monday- but it could be so much worse.
A cold front moved through the Finger Lakes on Thursday with some areas of heavy rain. Behind the front, much more comfortable air is settling in.
The good news is that the high heat and humidity is about to end. However, this airmass will not move out without causing a host of other troubles as it departs.
A weak, slow moving disturbance is over the Finger Lakes this morning and will only slowly drift towards the east.
