Very nice weekend, warm week ahead for Finger Lakes

A few rain showers will be possible across the eastern Finger Lakes on Friday, but the weekend should be mostly dry.

Besides dodging a couple showers today across the Finger Lakes, the weather this weekend will be quite nice ahead of a warm, almost hot week ahead.

An area of low pressure off the coast of the Mid-Atlantic will provide just enough atmospheric energy to pop a couple of showers this afternoon across the eastern Finger Lakes. Areas further west should be mostly dry. Any showers that do pop up will be widely scattered and light. Many areas within the light green shading will probably not see more than a few drops of rain today.

The darker green shaded area east of the Finger Lakes has a better chance at seeing a few showers today. Also, there could be a couple of morning sprinkles in those areas on Saturday, while the Finger Lakes region should stay dry

Sunday also looks dry and the next chance for rain will not be until Monday night.

Temperatures will be nearly perfect this weekend. Highs on Friday will be in the low to mid 60s, with upper 60s on Saturday and some low 70s on Sunday.

The temperature will continue to climb next week, especially towards the end of the week when 80s may be possible.
