A cold front is working through the Finger Lakes early Thursday morning with some clouds, but no showers. This front will usher in slightly cooler, but much less humid air.
Temperatures will climb into the low and mid 70s by Thursday afternoon under partly cloudy skies. The humidity will be much lower than in recent days, with dew points in the upper 40s and low 50s. This will all add up to a nearly picture perfect day, though the wind may gust over 20mph at times.
This will be a short lived respite, however, as heat and humidity will return to the region on Friday as high pressure slides to our east and sets up southerly winds on its backside.
Temperatures on Friday should rise into the mid 80s with dewpoints pushing back towards 60º.
It does look like Friday will stay dry, though showers may push in from the south Friday night and early Saturday.
A cold front will move through with heavy rain and possibly strong thunderstorms on Saturday, followed by much cooler weather on Sunday.
