A Few Pockets of Ice
Precipitation is moving into the Finger Lakes from the south as of 6:30 am on Sunday.
Temperatures across the area are mostly a degree or two above freezing, so much of this precipitation will fall as rain.
The best chance for icy conditions this morning will be in the higher elevations of the Southern Tier and Central New York.
Temperatures will not move much until after 9 or 10 am, so the threat for pockets or brief periods of ice will remain at least into the mid-morning hours.
Be alert for changing road conditions.
Also, be aware that bridge surfaces tend to be cooler, so ice may be possible on bridges while the rest of the road is just wet.
Precipitation will taper off this afternoon and may end as a bit of snow.
Additional snow is likely on Monday as a cold front and lake effect move into the area. A couple inches may be possible, along with some heavier bursts during the afternoon.
More details on that Monday morning.

Be advised that while the radar attempts to identify the different types of precipitation, the actual conditions may not match the color coding. Areas of pink/purple indicate possibly ice areas.
